I have Italian friends who will visit Switzerland soon and asked me about the best lake to visit. If you had to choose one, which lake would you pick?

There are several thousand lakes in Switzerland, with estimations up to 7000, although those include very small water bodies, traditionally referred to as “lakes”.
In my opinion, the most famous, spectacular and also relatively easy to visit is Blausee. One day is enough for a visit because the lake is relatively small. Your friends can enjoy it in every season – below, a gallery of some beautiful shots collected from Instagram.
