‘Berlin, the greatest cultural extravaganza that one could imagine.’
By far, the quote that best represent my idea of Berlin. David Bowie hit the nail in the head with this sentence. Extravaganza and culture, key word perfectly describing the German capital.
I happen to travel to Germany quite often, and it’s charming how different every big city feels. The luxurious and elegant Munich, the big-city-life feeling of Frankfurt, the majestic Dresden, the upcoming Leipzig.
I’ve always been amazed by how fast the city of Berlin is moving and evolving. Despite the active night life and eccentric style, it’s extremely focused on sustainability and a healthy lifestyle. I spent my time there running from one meeting to the other and discovering some tasty organic restaurants .
Here’s my suggestion for a 24 hours trip to Berlin:
Stay at Vision Apartments; they offer wonderful apartments in Alexanderplatz. It’s always my favourite solution when traveling. I like to describe it as something in between a Hotel & AirBnb. It offers a completely furnished and accessorised flat, a concierge service and great rates. They’re always located in central areas and they always offer excellence.
Have lunch/brunch at Spreegold! The menu is just too good to be true, and the food even better. I almost wished there was less of a choice, which says it all.
Have dinner at The Bowl – organic and clean food, perfect to stay light (but satisfied) before a night out.
End your evening with a cocktail at Soho House Berlin. A magnificent place, chic & cozy ambience, light electro music, a magical view and you’re all settled.
