      Friendship is more important than handbags 😁🥰 When we returned home from Korea, we found a sad surprise: our house has been burglarized. I told Yvonne of @funkyforty, also because I felt maybe it was my fault, since I had shown on Instagram that we were away. I was upset and thought I should close my account, and wanted to warn her not to show too much on stories. Soon later, Yvonne came to my door with some red roses. I think I almost kicked her out, as I was a bit confused by the events 😅 Yesterday Yvonne gave me coffee and chocolate, took these nice pictures in front of a bright painting she painted herself, and she really lifted me up. Thank you Yvonne! In the second photo, my favorite bracelet. I bought it at age 17, in Italy, with the money I saved from working the whole summer. The bracelet survived 5 burglaries. The thieves preferred to get my handbags 👜. In the last slide, a flip. When I do that, it means the good energy is back !

      I had no idea that Seoul has its very own version I had no idea that Seoul has its very own version of a mini Great Wall of China—I just had to hike it! The wall stretches 18 km around the modern city, with its oldest sections dating back to the 1300s, and features eight majestic city gates. The breathtaking views from every angle made all the effort worth it (though the tempting coffee shops along the way didn’t hurt either!). The other hikers were quite entertaining—completely geared up, serious about sun protection, and using the most fascinating gadgets. One had me thinking it was a charging station, but it turned out to be something entirely different. Watch till the end to see what it was!       The deliciously vintage atmosphere of Kyoto is bes The deliciously vintage atmosphere of Kyoto is best understood by staying in a traditional Ryokan - even though it is indeed a bit uncomfortable, and tall foreigns tend to find it boring 😁. It was my second time in Kyoto and I still love how time has stopped in some parts of the city, and how the future has arrived in others. The fast train - the Shinkansen- remains a classic experience. For example, I didn't know that it takes only 15 minutes to track Osaka (where we have arrived today). Downside: crowds and overtourism in the most popular spots is a fact. Our trip goes on with Osaka, Hiroshima and Seoul. #ryokan #kyoto #shinkansen #geisha #swisstravelblogger #swissblogger

      Yesterday it was my second "digital free Monday". Yesterday it was my second "digital free Monday". I was caught online at 7:30 am by one of my friends, who told me:"were you not supposed to stay offline every Monday?" Ops... I had forgotten about it 🙈 Good intentions are good, but they often end up in autopilot, and one can't keep them. I recognised that, switched the phone off and had a WONDERFUL productive internet-free day. Highly recommend!       🛜How did my Internet free day go? Very well. 🛜How did my Internet free day go? Very well. Exactly like when I was on holiday and offline, I slept better, longer, and was much more relaxed during the day. No ruminating about politics, no anxiety about the future of the world, no superficial comments telling each other how wonderful we are 😁 I am no researcher, so the numbers in the gallery are a pure observation. Also, my max heartbeat is caused by running, not only by social media and news! But you get my point ... will definitely keep every Monday internet free, wherever reasonable. Give it a try!
