Dolce Vita

Dolce Vita Everyday

Blogging is a sweet job – fancy trips, glamorous gowns, VIP treatment and five stars locations. But of course, as any other profession, there is also a realistic side to it: the administration, the quiet week with too little business, the overbooked month when all events happen together, the jet-lag, the bad timing, the illness when you need to look perfect, and so on. What both Geri and I can do well, I must say – and this is also a result of our culture, so strongly influenced by Italy – is enjoying the dolce vita every single day even when things are not perfect. We know it’s important to take time for eating a simple and beautiful meal, have a talk, seize the moment.

Dolce Vita Migros

To get a taste of this italianità, Geri and I go to Migros at least twice a week. For our beloved spaghetti, for Mediterranean recipes, for our morning routine with water and lemon: the trick is buying simple ingredients, but of the best quality.

Sweet Laughing

And humour is the spice for all Italian recipes! While taking these pictures, people were passing by and watching us again and again; so we went deeper and deeper in the garden just to hide. The spaghetti got cold; plates, tomatoes and lemons ended up stored in all our pockets – the search for a quiet meal because a funny trip that really made us laugh. And honestly we often work and laugh, for our clumsy moves, for our bad pictures, for how hard we try to do things perfectly and often end up feeling like Mr.Bean. Never stop looking at the funny side of things and don’t take yourself too seriously.

Bellezza

Last but not least, la dolce vita means beauty. A beautiful woman, a statue, a flower, the sun in the leaves, a work of art. Beauty is everywhere and one only needs to look for it – also in the beautiful ingredients of a typical Italian meal; to be discovered these days in Migros dolce vita

Dolce Vita Tutti I Giorni
