5 Things To Do Around Gstaad

Beatrice Lessi

“H”, the Swiss Deluxe Magazine, is out, and my article about Le Grand Bellevue Gstaad is also hot off the press. To finish up my tips about the Gstaad area, here are 5 activities you can do around the hotel.

Gstaad means sport and lifestyle – from standard to exclusive, offers are many and diverse. Here’s my hand-picked selection

Stand Up Paddling Yoga

Don’t worry if you haven’t tried it yet: it’s suitable also for beginners. The stunning Arnen lake is the perfect setting for total relax. Ask Le Grand Bellevue for the perfect gear and yoga teacher.

Heli Hike

is also available at the Bellevue Grand. Take a helicopter ride to the top of the mountain before a leg-burning hike, where you will tuck into an indulgent lunch courtesy of our unique fondue backpacks — there is no better post-hike reward.

E-bike tours

Cycling with the support of a silent, environmentally-friendly electric motor is a special pleasure for the fitness-conscious, for whom enjoyment is more important than the effort expended. Less athletic cycling enthusiasts can thus extend their sphere of activity in this way. The Destination Gstaad offers fully-equipped electric bike facilities and over 150 km of routes. The Mirror Chalet

It’s called Le Mirage, and it’s an installation by American artist Doug Aitken reflecting the Swiss Alps, constantly changing in every season. The entrance is free. Inside, one can play with mirror images, like in an old Luna Park. Outside, the nature is inviting you for a walk, also because there is no other way to come here than by foot.

Magical Mountain Waters

A bath in the crystal clear mountain lake is guaranteed to be an unforgettable vacation moment. In the destination Gstaad, there are more lakes than just the famous Lake Lauenen. Mountain lakes are hidden on many of the hikes. Their appeal lies not only in the ice-cold clear water, but also in their natural beauty: turquoise blue and a view onto the mountains, far away from the hustle and bustle and noise. Relaxing moments like this are not offered in any spa in the world.
